E cosmo is the electronic platform that was developed with the purpose of simplifying the processes of control over the import, production and marketing of cosmetic products. The information required for confirming the compliance with applicable quality standards is uploaded to the system and once the evaluation of compliance is done necessary certificates and licenses are issued. The information that must to be provided can be devided into 4 groups – information about the manufacturer, warehouse and storage conditions, production and composition. İmportant to note, that license and GMP (Good Manufacturing practice) sertificate is one of the mandatory requirements for importing cosmetics to Saudi Arabia.
